Meet the Founder
The Private Plug was founded by Dr. Anjali Camara, a senior executive, entrepreneur, and community builder dedicated to creating spaces where women can connect, share, and grow together.
With a career as Senior Vice President at Amwins, one of the nation’s largest wholesale insurance brokerages, Anjali has spent years navigating high-stakes industries while building influence across corporate, entrepreneurial, and philanthropic spaces. She is also the founder of KUNI™, a premium apparel line honoring her family legacy and HBCU roots, and the John Wesley Johnson Legacy Fund, created in memory of her father to support scholarships and cultural initiatives.
In 2025, she expanded this work through the launch of the Private Plug Foundation, the philanthropic arm of The Private Plug. The Foundation is focused on advancing leadership development, access, and long-term opportunity for young women—transforming connection into measurable community impact.
Through The Private Plug, Anjali brings together her passion for leadership, legacy, and connection. Her vision is to curate intentional tables that amplify women’s voices, expand their networks, and create lasting impact—ensuring that every seat is not just filled, but handpicked with purpose.
